Brinnon Group - The Brinnon Group supports development on Black Point that is of reasonable size, fits with the rural character of Brinnon, preserves the natural features of the area, and protects the Hood Canal.

Futurewise - A statewide public interest group working to promote healthy communities and cities while protecting farmland, forests and shorelines today and for future generations.

Hood Canal Coalition - A group of citizens and organizations concerned about the impacts of the Fred Hill Materials proposed Thorndyke "Pit to Pier" project.

"Hood Canal: Splendor at Risk" - Published by the Kitsap Sun in 1991, "Hood Canal, Splendor at Risk" asked the question, "Will people be able to rescue an ecosystem on the brink of destruction?" Though it's been nearly two decades since it appeared in print, the dangers posed to this natural feature still are relevant today.

Hood Canal Coordinating Council - A "Council of Governments" serving Jefferson, Kitsap, and Mason Counties.

Olympic Forest Coalition - The Olympic Forest Coalition promotes the protection, conservation and restoration of natural forest ecosystems and their processes on the Olympic Peninsula.

Washington Environmental Council - WEC is a statewide, non-profit organization of individual volunteers and affiliated organizations working to protect, preserve, and restore the environment of Washington State.
